FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT

For internet orders we use Stripe as a payment gateway provider. You are free to use all major credit and debit cards and can rest assured that all of your personal information is only stored on the secure STRIPE servers. 

We are also pleased to accept BACS payments. We will issue you with a proforma invoice. Obviously goods are unable to be shipped until monies have been cleared.

WHEN DO I PAY

All internet orders must be paid for in full before they are allowed to leave our warehouse. We are happy to accept purchase orders from local authorities, county councils, NHS, schools, colleges and Universities. 

We also work with a number of lease finance providers who can, subject to approval, offer leasing on orders over £2000 + VAT. We are happy to include an indicative monthly payment figure with your quotation should this be of interest.

DO YOU SUPPLY THE GENERAL PUBLIC

We are a business to business contract furniture supplier to the trade. We are more than happy to provide our furniture if you are furnishing your home but you must be aware that the terms and conditions of sale will be different to those you would enjoy under a business to consumer agreement. DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM ORDER POLICY

We source furniture from multiple manufacturers and different companies around the world. All furniture available for purchase on our website is available in small order quantities, in many cases you can just order single pieces. Items not available for purchase directly through the site have different purchasing criteria which is clearly explained within the product description.

DO YOUR PRICES INCLUDE VAT

Prices shown on our website are exclusive of VAT. Vat at the rate of 20% will be added to your basket when you advance through through the checkout. Prices are clearly shown as being ex VAT.

The decision to display prices without VAT is because the vast majority of our clients are VAT registered businesses. Chester Cornell Limited supply a VAT invoice to all clients.

HOW MUCH DOES DELIVERY COST

All items available to purchase online have FREE DELIVERY! so the price you see if the the price you pay. Free delivery covers the mainland UK only, some areas in Scotland such as the highlands and the Isle of Wight will incur additional charges. We are pleased to provide you with a quotation.

HOW IS MY FURNITURE DELIVERED

To ensure your furniture is delivered safely and promptly most items are delivered on pallets. Items such as table bases and some of our chairs are delivered flat packed and will some require basic assembly. If you would like assistance with the unloading, unpackaging and installation of your furniture please let us know and we will aim to help.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DELIVER

Delivery times vary on the type of furniture you purchase. Most items that are available for purchase through the website can be delivered withing in a few days and in some cases, next day.

Our bespoke items take longer due to the upholstery and finishing processes. We will keep you updated and ensure the furniture is delivered as quickly as possible.
